Mickey Mouse has been a favorite kids’ birthday party for decades. It’s a tried-and-true PartyPail favorite that customers can’t get enough of. We offer two different Mickey Mouse birthday party themes. Our Mickey Fun and Friends birthday decorations are fun and bold with primary colors and all of Mickey’s Clubhouse gang, while our Mickey’s 1st Birthday Party supplies feature baby Mickey and pastel blue, yellow, and green for a baby’s first birthday.
No matter which Mickey Mouse theme you choose, there are tons of creative DIY ideas you can use for your child’s Mickey Mouse birthday party. We rounded up 10 favorites from our Mickey Mouse Party Ideas Pinterest board to share with you:
1. DIY invitations via Jeni Lynn Designs
While we offer several different invitation options, you could also create DIY invitations. These invitations have a red pocket with yellow buttons to look like Mickey’s classic pants. Guests pull out the Mickey Mouse head-shaped insert to see the party details.
2. Mickey Mouse cupcake table via Love of Family and Home
We love the setup of this cupcake table! This hostess printed Mickey Mouse illustrations, framed them, and hung them behind the table. She set the cupcakes on boxes wrapped in kraft paper and used a plush Mickey toy and yellow flowers for more decoration. And don’t forget lots of red and white polka dots!
3. DIY Mickey Mouse centerpiece via Life of the Farmer’s Wife
This hostess has lots of great ideas, including this DIY centerpiece, which is made from foam balls, a dowel rod, and a painted terra cotta pot. It’s such a simple and fun way to add a little extra Mickey to your party.
4. Mickey Mouse table decor via Lulu and Junebug
For another centerpiece idea, use plush Mickey Mouse toys your child already has. Set the toys next to white daisies, which add a playful touch to the decor. Also take note of the simple, but oh-so appropriate black plate and polka dot napkin table settings.
5. Mickey Mouse yard decor via PartyPail customer
Welcome your guests to the party with a giant spray paint Mickey Mouse in your front yard. One of our customers achieved this with help from a DIY stencil.
6. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse sandwiches via Craving Chocolate and Lazy Days
As a play on Mickey’s Clubhouse, serve your guests club sandwiches. Use a Mickey Mouse cookie cutter to cut the bread, meat, and cheese into Mickey mouse shapes. Let your guests build their own sandwiches, or piece them together before the party.
7. Mickey Mouse cupcakes via Chaotic Love
There are tons of various Mickey Mouse desserts out there, but we like how simple and cute these Mickey Mouse cupcakes are. To make them yourself, glue white buttons on red baking cups and use mini Oreo cookies on white icing as Mickey’s ears.
8. Mickey Mouse place setting via Hostess with the Mostess
For a cute and simple place setting idea, use one black dinner plate and two black dessert plates to make Mickey’s head. Staple the plates together, set them on bright yellow place mats, and don’t forget a bright red napkin!
9. Mickey Mouse hot dogs via Oopsey Daisy
Another fun food idea is to serve hot dogs, inspired by Mickey’s hot dog song and dance! If you can, purchase or rent a retro-inspired hot dog roller, which can be purchased at most big-box stores like Walmart and Meijer.
10. Mickey Mouse high chair via PartyPail customer
Isn’t this PartyPail customer a cutie?! His parents decked out his high chair with our Mickey Mouse 1st Birthday High Chair Decorating Kit, which made for a great smash cake photo opportunity!
